Sarah Hageman – Soloist
Born and raised in the Tampa Bay Area, Sarah is currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance at the University of South Florida, under the instruction of Dr. Warren Jaworski. During her study at the college, she has been very active in both the opera and choral departments, performing the role of Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors, covering the role of Fiordiligi in Così Fan Tutte, and performing in elite choirs including USF's Chamber Singers.
Before transferring to USF, Sarah completed the first two years of her degree at St. Petersburg College, under the instruction of Dr. Marilyn Michael. She was a frequent soloist for the school's concert chorus, singing soprano solos in works such as Mendelsohn's Elijah and Mozart's Laudate Dominum from Vesperae solennes de confessore. She also performed in numerous Opera Workshop scenes, including Countess Almaviva in Mozart's Le Nozze Di Figaro and Pamina in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte.
Sarah recently performed in St. Petersburg Opera's production of Samson et Dalila, her fifth production with the company. She was also selected in 2010 to join the company's Emerging Artists Workshop "Music in Motion" under the direction of Maestro Mark Sforzini. She is thrilled to be celebrating over three years as soloist and soprano section leader at Faith United Church of Christ.
